Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox for us, the people who run federal missions include people who navigate by keyboard, listen to their screens, and turn motion off. This site is designed to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA expectations, and we treat gaps as defects.
Current conformance measures.
federal.ai is designed and tested against WCAG 2.1 Level AA design targets, consistent with the intent of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Every interactive control, navigation, demos, forms, downloads, is reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link on every page.
All animation, including the homepage ambient video and scroll effects, honors the prefers-reduced-motion setting and disables itself. Static content is never gated behind motion.
Semantic landmarks, labeled forms, aria-live status regions in the interactive tools, and alt text on informative images. Demonstrations announce state changes to assistive technology.
Body text targets AA contrast on both the dark and paper surfaces, layouts reflow to small screens without horizontal scrolling, and text scales with browser settings.
