Cleared FDE™ is a trademark of Federal AI.
The mark names a discipline, not a job title: a security-cleared forward-deployed engineer who holds security engineering and AI engineering in one seat and is accountable for a mission workflow from candidate architecture through operational acceptance. The discipline is defined in the public Cleared FDE Standard. The name belongs to Federal AI LLC; the Standard is free to reference with attribution.

Cite the Standard freely. Use the name as an adjective. Do not sell under it.
These guidelines keep the term meaningful for the people who rely on it: evaluators, contracting officers, and mission owners who need "Cleared FDE" to mean one specific, testable thing.
Solicitations, evaluations, proposals, and teaming discussions may cite the Standard without permission: "Cleared FDE™ Standard v1.0, Federal AI, federal.ai/standard." Quoting the competency domains and the day-90 acceptance instrument is encouraged.
Write "Cleared FDE™ engineers," "a Cleared FDE™ engagement," or "the Cleared FDE™ Standard," with the symbol on the first or most prominent use on a page. Write "cleared" only; the mark never carries a clearance level.
Do not use Cleared FDE as the name of your product, service, program, team, or domain, and do not present work as delivered, certified, or endorsed by Federal AI unless it is.
A team that runs an engagement by the Standard's operating contract and acceptance instrument may say so, and may display the badge below. The claim is the team's; Federal AI does not audit it and implies no endorsement.
